investigators that they could impact the most. We are still somewhat experimenting with some of our members and trying to gage how
effective our lessons are with the investigators. Really we are just
trying to get them involved with the lessons. Having them bare testimony on the simple doctrines we teach and then getting them involved in expounding the meaning of the doctrines and asking
questions.
On a whole the District is doing good. There was a raise in the numbers so i can tell that all sides are trying to get into a groove where they can constantly be teaching while using less-actives and
other members to seek new people to investigate the church. I think the one thing we are going to focus on the most is adjusting teaching to meet the needs of people. So far as i have been out the best teaching experiences are when we find something the investigator is going through and then teaching a specific principle that the lessons cover. Anything that an investigator brings up can always be explained or helped with the principles and application of the gospel.
The most effective way to teach, at least i feel is to use events in an almost parable like terms to show them through their own lives how living the gospel will help them
Elder Wignal and I this week had some up and downs, but luckily we got everything taken care of. We were actually surprised at all the work that we were able to get done this week even though we were out of our area for a day and a half. We feel really good about some of our investigators that are really trying to get to the point of baptism.
We realized that as we adjust our teaching to match the needs and
personalities of our investigators we get more trust not only from them, but the members that we teach with see that we are here to help using the things that we know and it makes it easier for them to chime in from time to time. I felt that my teaching skills have improved so
much. It is really crazy.
This week my understanding has been very enlightened. As i seek for an
application of the scriptures not only to my self but looking for the deeper meaning of the simple examples that Christ used to help his followers and those who associated with him. I have really found joy in studying and then pondering the meaning of everything that appears new to me. I now understand how we are to continually keep growing
even if it is from the same words in which we read seem to familiar. They will never end in the constant meaning that help us to become more like our heavenly father. I am so grateful for the growth i have
seen in myself and the extreme change of attitude that i have had since the beginning of the Mission. This week i was reflection of a scripture i read in St. John 14:23, I have been asking the question,
what more is it that i can do to fulfil the purpose that i have been sent to achieve. Only through the ways of Christ can we reach our potential and become as equals to him and our father. Obedience and determination to abide by and pass along their teachings while improving on for example talents that we have been given show the divine heritage that we have inquired from the beginning of mortality.
While also showing others that there is a right way to be a part of this world and that is to just be a good person. in more simple words, Christlike.
