Sunday evening we got invited to watch the broadcast that was held a few weeks ago. It really excited us to see all the major changes that are going to be
filtering soon, and the branch has made it a goal to step it up a notch. They purposed that they were going to be the ones finding for us to teach. The branch presidency here is really trying to raise the bar. We just hope that it is in a way that they can handle.
Elder Wignal and i have been doing much better. I have wanted him to be able to talk more openly and so rather than trying to force a conversation, I waited until he was ready to talk. It proved to be way more effective. Now it is just a matter of keeping it up. We want to be able to have our teaching pool increase and so we have decided that we are going to start from scratch. Dropping those who just don't understand how important these steps are and going to the members and helping them learn how they can approach their friends. We hope that in doing this we not only gain their trust but help them see how easy
it really is to share simple truths about the gospel with having to feel threatening or contentious. Also want to find more activities that we can do to bring interest to those outside of the church to see
who we really are as members of the church, and have teaching opportunities there.
I am doing good. Had a little battle with myself this week just wanting to make the changes i needed to feel like i was doing all i could. Oddly i felt quite lazy this week, and this coming i know that it is going to change. My main goal is to have meaningful activities for the entire day.. Luckily we have members that are home a lot and we are trying to see all of them so that they can learn more about us and
what we hope to do here.
As i was studiying this week i can across a really cool scripture in Mosiah 20:11, "......But they fought for their lives, and they fought for their wives, and for their children, Therefore they exerted themselves and like dragons did they fight." As i thought about it i wondered how we could be like that as missionaries and members. Imagining it we gave our whole effort as we would for a favorite sport or hobby. Maybe even someone we love or something we love to do. How
would our missionary work improve. It's not just about being a missionary because really any one can be just a missionary. Our heavenly father expects us to step up to his call, and give our all
for his purpose. As we do all we can, all that he can is done for us. Really as we learn to submit ourselves He submits the blessing that we search for to us. It is a win win situation. Just depends how bad we want it.
